Autumn colour

Tone-correction and warm-copper appointments are open through late November — weekday mornings have the most room left.

Four chairs · unhurried appointments

Hair that still looks like itself in six weeks

We keep the diary deliberately short. Every appointment starts with a proper look at what your hair is doing now, and ends with something you can dry yourself on a Tuesday morning.

  • Precision cutting
  • Considered colour
  • Honest consultation

In the chair

A quiet room, a long appointment, no upselling

Willow Ridge runs four chairs and one basin, which means nobody is being moved between stations to keep a schedule moving. Your stylist stays with you from the consultation through to the finish, and you will always be told what a service costs before anything is mixed.

We work mostly with lived-in colour and shapes that grow out kindly — hair you can leave for three months without it falling apart. If what you have asked for will not hold on your hair type, we will say so and offer the nearest thing that will.

Bring a coffee, bring a book, bring reference photos. Appointments are not shared between two clients.

Service menu

Prices, timings and what each one includes

Every price is a starting point for hair around shoulder length. Long, dense or previously coloured hair takes more product and more time, and your stylist will confirm the figure at consultation rather than at the till.

Who to book with

Three stylists, three different strengths

If you are not sure who to ask for, leave it blank on the booking form and describe your hair instead — we will put you with whoever is the better fit rather than whoever is free first.

Colour & correction

Takes most of the lightening work and nearly all of the correction bookings. Happiest with a long, slow balayage and a client who wants something lived-in rather than uniform.

Colour consultation

What happens before we mix anything

First-time colour at Willow Ridge always starts with a free fifteen-minute consultation, booked separately from the appointment itself. It exists so that nobody is surprised by a timing, a price or a result.

Look and listen

We go through your photos, what you have had done before and how much time you actually want to spend on your hair each week.

Test

A patch test behind the ear at least 48 hours ahead, plus a strand test if there is existing colour or box dye in the hair.

Quote and plan

You get a written figure, a realistic appointment length, and — if needed — a two-visit plan rather than one punishing session.

Aftercare

We tell you how long the tone will hold, when to come back, and which two products matter. No basket of things you will not use.

Questions

The things people ask before they book

If your question is not here, put it in the notes box on the booking form and we will answer it before you commit to an appointment.

How long will my first colour appointment take?

Allow longer than the menu time for a first visit. A full head of foils is listed at three and a half hours, but a first appointment adds the consultation, a more careful section-by-section check and a toner decision at the basin — so plan for four. We would rather overestimate and let you leave early.

Do I really need a patch test, and when?

Yes, for any service that puts dye on your skin or scalp, including a root tint or a gloss. It takes two minutes behind the ear and has to be done at least 48 hours before the appointment, even if you have had colour elsewhere for years. Formulations change and so can your reaction to them.

Is the consultation charged, and what do I get?

Colour consultations are free and take about fifteen minutes. You leave with a written price, an appointment length, a patch test done, and an honest answer about whether the result you want is reachable in one visit. There is no obligation to book on the day.

How far ahead should I book for a wedding or event?

Four to six weeks for event styling, and three months for a wedding morning, because we close the salon to other clients for those. A bridal trial has to happen at least a fortnight before the day so there is time to change direction if you do not love it.

Should I bring reference photos?

Please do — three or four is ideal, and photos of things you dislike are just as useful. Bring images of hair with a similar texture and base depth to yours if you can, since the same colour reads very differently on fine straight hair and on dense curls.

How often will I need to come back?

A cut holds its shape for six to eight weeks for short styles and ten to twelve for longer ones. Root tint shows regrowth at four to six weeks; half-head foils stretch to three months; balayage usually only needs refreshing twice a year with a gloss in between.

What if I need to move or cancel my appointment?

Tell us at least 48 hours ahead and there is no charge at all — just reply to your confirmation. Inside 48 hours we ask for half the service price, because a four-hour colour slot cannot usually be refilled at short notice. Illness is always an exception.
